Contactless scanning is done by capturing an image from above, without touching the document or book. Bound, fragile and historical documents are transferred to the digital archive without damaging the binding or the paper.
Yes. The distortion caused by page curvature when a book is open is corrected automatically. Several documents can also be cropped automatically in a single scan.
For documents thicker than 5 mm, an area of up to 400 × 300 mm is scanned. The connection is USB 3.0 compatible and also works at USB 2.0 speed.
The ScanSnap SV600 is used together with a custom-made book cradle. The cradle supports the book without straining it.
